Build a bitch
Have a personality but don't overpower the males.
Unfortunately, I was born a female.
What does that even mean? It means that I have to try harder to even be considered taken seriously.
It means I have to have standards but not expectations. Too much means I'm a prude and will forever be alone.
Dress sexy but modest. Have to be careful of what I wear but show what I have- be careful with this because I'll be asking for it.
Put makeup on but men prefer a natural look. Can't show my imperfections.
Not allowed to have imperfections.
Be a size 0 but don't be too skinny. Men don't like bones. They love meat. But don't be too meaty, they don't like that either.
Holy fuck. When did this become build a bitch?

Being female is tough. Mother, vamp, housewife, cook, luscious, elegant, beautiful. Where's the wit, the vibrancy, the intelligence? I could relate to this. It did remind me of Build a Bear too - the two couldn't be more further removed.
Sounds like a lucrative business... Seriously, I quite like this. We all look harshly at ourselves, esp. at a time of year when we should think of love. Thank you for sharing this.
