Bubblegum's Reflection

Background:

Back in February, I drew an image of a fairy who was on a cliff looking up at the moon. This was just the rough draft in pencil. Had no color or anything. With that being said, I touched it up with color and decided that I was going to name the fairy Bubblegum. You will see down below why though. I was truly just inspired to update it and send it to a customer with the order that she made. I even got the idea to write a poem that will go with my piece.

In the realm of drams

the young fairy seems

dazed in contemplation

feeling the summer breeze

she feels more at ease

Grounded safe and calm

Not trapped in chains of the past

but remembering it fondly

Being young with the simplest

joys of friendship, fun, and laughter

Bubblegum the fairy

Looks to the Moon

feeling present shedding tears and celebrating

the smallest Victories
