Bubblegum Clouds

A Poem

By Walter Steven DagleyPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Clouds of bubblegum brighten the world

And cover the earth in a pink blanket.

As my surroundings swirled

I knew that I could no longer resist it.

Sleep encapsulated me in a protection like bubble wrap.

As I floated away my mind wanted to stay,

But the more it fought the more I fell trap’t

And soon I found myself having drifted away.

Flat on my back paralyzed and in a never ending pain

I stared up at clouds of bubblegum pink

That seemed to by my blood stain

And then whatever was holding me here fled down the sink.
