Her smile radiates warmth to others.
She shines so bright to overcome the darkness that is crept into her heart.
The pain does not diminish her; where it makes her stronger.
She is not a ray of sunshine to others but herself.
Her light glows for the future as it seals the shadows of her past.
Charlie Chaplin once stated, "The most sweet-hearted people are the most mistreated people," and I find his perception right. We are beings that will experience many things in our lifetime, the good and the bad. These experiences shape us in who we are and where we stand today. As I write this piece, I wonder how strong are those to keep a smile and how they can move forward no matter how they are treated. This is a unique strength that few individuals can hold, and many are learning to acquire this strength. However, I wanted to acknowledge the people who are seen as "sweet-hearted" are human as well, and they won't show it, but it's never wrong to ask them how they're feeling. Where they might shine for others but on the inside for themselves might not be so bright.
