I belong in a museum.
Eye catching from a distance, Admired up close, Left barely seen or felt anymore.
There is a painting that hangs on the wall you noticed right away when you first walk in. You take your time looking at all the other sculptures and art work until you circle to the canvas that caught your eye from a distance.
Standing with crossed arms, head at a tilt you get lost in admiring the fine line detail, the way her lips curve into a gentle, kind smile that warms your heart. The way her hair naturally waves and perfectly outlines her soft, delicate facial features, Her eyes a tranquil blue while having a glistening cast over them.
You can tell the woman being conveyed was trying not to cry, you could see the pain she hid inside the longer you stared but all while keeping a composer of elegance and hope to her still.
Simple but so complex and yet ignored and passed by so many wandering body’s until they are standing in front of her, Camera flashes are the only thing giving her a glimpse of light anymore.
A mundane life with only one positive outlook, A simple heartbeat that lives in my stomach growing everyday, becoming a new life that will soon enter the world, A new life that will bring so much color and excitement again.
The newest artist to recreate this beautiful masterpiece of the heartbroken woman hanging on a museum wall.
