Where to place a hope that's torn?

But, a broken dream to yet be reborn.

Never will it peer into history

To try to solve its mystery.

****

It yearns to be rebuilt.

Without the alleged guilt.

But who will accept its broken song?

Whom with others it cannot sing along?

****

This bit of hope is built on hope.

Its means of fighting, to blindly grope.

Is it better to leave go all the way,

and hope for a new hope to shine its ray.

****

But starting again means staying for a minute

without means of defense to win it.

In order to move on to adulthood

you must first leave go of the childhood.

****

But what's if I learn to take what I can?

And the rest throw to the frying pan?

Perhaps if I'll hold on to one shatter

The fact that's its broken won't matter.

****

A pile of fragments may be cause to cower

But to lift one and build it, only shows power.

So go, my son, sift through your broken heart

Find the hope, still intact, that one little part.
