Broken Chains

A Poem for Mama

By May TaylorPublished 8 years ago 1 min read
Broken chains will be relinked

Little did we know that sunny Friday morning God up above was calling

You left us confused and wondering why were you really that ill that you had to die

Our family chain is broken nothing is the same but

eventually when we all get called one by one

The broken chain will link again

Remembering you today and every day is a ritual for me

I light a candle and see your sweet face so bright so full of grace

I then exhale because I know you are truly happy and free

Reunited again with our Ancestral tree

FAMILY
