It is said that brilliance breeds madness,

And those minds are the most delicious;

(Finger licks, cold eyes flicker darkness.)

Elegant and refined wickedness,

So intelligently ostentatious;

It is said that brilliance breeds madness.

Devouring some just for their rudeness,

Others due to his childhood so vicious,

(Finger licks, cold eyes flicker darkness.)

Inferior humans are his weakness,

A human predator, injudicious;

It is said that brilliance breeds madness.

With sips of wine, blasé frankness -

Gourmet meals of victims so scrumptious,

(Finger licks, cold eyes flicker darkness.)

No name for this kind of evilness -

No name for this kind of malicious;

It is said that brilliance breeds madness.

(Finger licks, cold eyes flicker darkness.)

Villanelle
