dance on midnight streets

A city hums beneath the stars,

where restless hearts contain their scars.

*

A neon light shares its glare,

where hope and hunger are in the air.

*

Skyscrapers reach like arching arms,

where dreams are kept by weathered charms.

*

Billboards blink in coded speech,

where promises are more than we can reach.

*

Bright lights dance on midnight streets,

where strangers pass but never meet.

*

Reflections shimmer in puddles wide,

where a thousand worlds reveal what’s inside.

*

They mask the dark and mock the day,

where worries burn cleanly away.

*

Still, we chase their open flames,

where every spark whispers our names.

This is quite the way to describe a life that one maybe leading or trying to get away from or I am probably wrong about this. Good job.
