Bright Lights

Still Thinking of You

By The Girl in GreyPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Though I smile and weave through traffic

Stay on my fitness and take classes

And still follow all my bad habits

Still subtly entertain the masses

There's still an empty seat

Where your smile used to be

A place where the other side meets

Is still a place I can't see

I wonder if you can witness

From wherever you are now

How deep we're in this

Too far without you around

The lights are beaming bright

With yet another dark spot inside

Just a space sitting still all night

Just a footstep gone with the tide

I hope that place is real

Where you and I meet again

A place that I can't feel

That place they call heaven

Love always,

Chayle
