Breath of Life

Breath of Life

As I say goodbye to life, and my eyes close once more.

As I lay down in my bed of grass.

As the grim reaper meets me, as my final moments approach.

As my breath of life leaves me, she dances her way up to the heavens,

joining the souls of my past.

As I lay to rest while my body melts away,

as my bones erode away to dirt, and my body mends to become one with the earth.

From earth I came, to the earth I go back.

My mind melts away as I breathe my last.
