from the corruption beside me
breaking free.

from the sadness inside me
breaking free.
Breaking free
from preconceived notions
breaking free.
Breaking free
from sympathy oceans
breaking free.
Breaking free
from my obsession
breaking free.
Breaking free
from my depression
breaking free.

from the deception
breaking free.
Breaking free
from the judging eyes
breaking free.
Breaking free
from what they surmise
breaking free.
Breaking free
from the old me
breaking free.
Breaking free
from society
breaking free.
Breaking free
from what's buried inside
from the feelings I hide
from the pain
from the trauma
from the never ending drama
my life has been a series
of these, my whole life
has been about
discovering these mysteries
answering the question
"why did they hurt me?"
but instead, today
I'm breaking free
I'm moving on
to become my best me.
