Breaking Free: A Poem Against Smoking
A Life Without Smoke

The air is thick, the lungs grow weak,
A silent killer, sly and sleek.
A single spark, a cloud so gray,
Another life drifts far away.
It starts so small, a harmless taste,
A fleeting thrill, a breath misplaced.
But soon it grows, a chain so tight,
A whispered lure into the night.
A cigarette, so thin, so light,
Yet holds the power to steal the fight.
It whispers sweetly, calls your name,
Yet hides behind its deadly flame.
You tell yourself, "Just one, no more,"
Yet find yourself craving more.
The cycle spins, the habit stays,
Through endless nights and weary days.
A Fiery Grip, a Hollow Trade
A moment’s high, a calming touch,
Yet every breath, it steals so much.
The nicotine, a cunning thief,
Disguised in moments of relief.
It grips you tight, it won’t let go,
It feeds on pain, it makes it grow.
Your heart beats fast, your lungs decay,
Yet still, you smoke another day.
The lies it tells, the tricks it plays,
A slow addiction, a toxic haze.
It chains your mind, it claims your soul,
A life once full, no longer whole.
A simple puff, a small delight,
Yet steals your strength, your will to fight.
A fading voice, a distant call,
As smoke wraps round, engulfs it all.
The Cost of Smoke, the Price We Pay
A mother sighs, her voice is low,
Her child’s cough begins to grow.
A father fades before his time,
His lungs are filled with ash and grime.
A friend once strong, now bends, now breaks,
His breath is short, his body aches.
The years go by, the days feel short,
A life once full, now cut so short.
The warning signs are everywhere,
Yet still, they light without a care.
The yellowed teeth, the wrinkled skin,
The aching chest from deep within.
The burning throat, the heavy chest,
A heart that fails with little rest.
A smoker’s cough, a wheezing breath,
A dance too close, too near to death.
Breaking Chains, Reclaiming Life
But wait, my friend, it’s not too late,
You still can choose another fate.
A path exists beyond this haze,
A world alive, in golden rays.
The choice is hard, the road is long,
But you are brave, you are strong.
Each step you take, each day you fight,
Brings back the breath, restores the light.
Throw it down, let go, be free,
No more smoke, no misery.
Feel the wind so pure and bright,
Embrace the day, embrace the light.
The cravings come, they whisper near,
Yet push them back, don’t live in fear.
For every urge that fades away,
A part of you begins to stay.
You breathe again, your lungs feel light,
No more smoke to cloud your sight.
The taste of air, the scent of rain,
No more clouds, no more pain.
A Future Clear, a Life Reborn
Your lungs will heal, your heart will mend,
A story bright, a life to tend.
Your hands won’t shake, your voice will rise,
No smoke to dull the hope inside.
Your children laugh, your loved ones cheer,
Their joy is real, their love sincere.
No smoke to steal, no ash to hide,
Just open arms and hope inside.
And when you wake to see the dawn,
The curse is gone, the fear withdrawn.
You breathe so deep, your chest expands,
No cigarette between your hands.
So turn away, let go today,
And walk into a world that stays.
For every life that quits the smoke,
A brighter tale, a dream evoked.
The choice is yours, the time is now,
Bak the chains and take a vow.
No more smoke, no more pain,
Just life, reborn, again and again.re
