Break My Heart

When you inevitably break my heart, don’t forget to take it with you

When you inevitably break my heart,

Don’t forget to take it with you

When you leave me -

For it is yours, broken or not,

Whether you want it or not.

Promise me - no, swear to me

That you’ll take it with you,

Because if you gave it back

When you were done with it,

I’d most certainly kill it for losing you,

Condemn it to a painful death,

For not loving you well enough

And I’d watch it die, watch it bleed out,

Until I died alongside it or

Until you came back to me

And we both know you wouldn’t

Because why would you return

To someone so hateful towards

Her own fucking existence?
