Box of Crayons

Waxing poetic

By Barry IrvinePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Colour me blue or leave me alone,

I'll pick my own hue; I'll pick my own tone.

From white priv-i-lege to the Black Lives Matter,

I don't see those colours in the rainbow's spatter.

What colour is love when it is forbidden,

And who draws the line on what is a sin?

Be proud, be loud, or be who you want

But be true to you, that's what you flaunt.

Humanity is doomed if we can't ALL get along

We all add colour in our big box of crayons.
