Bouncing Back

Covered in dirt laying down in the trenches.

Mice and roaches crawling away by mere inches.

Finally able to move while surrounded by the crud.

Now it’s time to rise up out of the mud. Was manipulated before and found a trap.

But now I’m Spaulding on the concrete bouncing back.

No time left for any toxic attachments. I’ve grown up and lost those attachments.

I’m signing a new lease on life. With a new found peace on life. No more strife.

I’m aware the price of peace won’t come easy.

But it’s a price I’m willing to pay everyday if need be.

Things have never been more clear, no time for confusion.

Save the guilt trips for those who ride with delusion.

I’m starting over mentally sober without an ounce of crap.

New day and a new way for me I’m bouncing back.
