Body

own it

‘body’

these curves

these rolls

this belly

this double chin

is mine

so when I say

my curves

my rolls

my belly

my double chin

just know it was never meant to be for another

to view

to pleasure

to enjoy

to criticise

now I ain’t glorifying unhealthy weight but I’m at a healthy weight and that’s all I’ll disclose

and I ain’t saying continue fat shaming just because you’re unhappy with your soul

yes, your soul

I’m tired of hearing the same comments again and again and again

i ain’t unhappy with my body, you are

and that ain’t my problem

it’s never been

and never will

but the next person may make it theirs

you body shame because you aren’t ready to accept the kind of person you are

We were all created perfectly, no imperfections

it’s your mind deceiving you

controlling you

be the master of your own mind and love who you were created to be

these wastemen haters ain’t got nothing on you
