blue misconception

a poem

he told me what I talked to them about

all the gory details he could have predicted

the thing is, he never talked to them

and when I just said

a buzzword

all the evil spilled out again onto the unvarnished floor

everything had to be done his way

that wasn’t the case

so he’s not happy again

his wife is flushed, his daughter is spoiled

and I should be tangled up in this show

I told myself, never again

never live in someone else’s hell

he wanted me to share his drama

unhinged are his views

from his point of view everything is wrong

I have trouble understanding a single word

when I talk about my experience, it doesn’t matter as such

as a way to get him to set me up

for his injustice and ignorance

two green weaves, splice the main brace

not knowing where to stop

to come out of this with a face
