There I stood before the denouement
Beholding the serenity I have wished upon
Musing if you too see what I descry
Or if it just simply passes you by
Do you feel kissed by the sun
Basked under like second to none
Or is it just me innocuously
Riding waves on the undulating sea
Twirling over the weightless joy
Palpitating away the drift to be coy
And in a flurry I whimsically followed
Sensing it was something borrowed
Yet it quaintly brought me back home
One I have sorely missed and known
Where blue can be the warmest colour
If you just looked a little deeper

If I were a painter, linguistics would be my palette, and poetry my favourite brush. If I were an artist, nature would be my muse, and music my companion, and I shall endeavour to depict life as I see it.

Highly evocative in each & every line, unsure of the intended meaning but lifted up in varying degrees & ways each time I read it. Is it the blue of the sky? Of unrequited love? Or simply of an experience not shared by another?
