Blue Bridge

A poem

You destroyed us at the time of creation

Entering the stage

With the wrong tools –

Malleable gestures

Of mistrust

Checking the phone and all that

Plain double bullshit

What were you thinking at that moment?

You tried to justify your actions

Suspecting the writer

Of being a fraud

Same as your wife?

So, you had to counterbalance that

With me

During this dangerous dance

Over the precipice

On the spans of the blue bridge

As if our relationship was foreordained

From the very beginning

Failing and falling

From the frailest fumble

Of your flimsy fingers

Not holding us at all

Only throwing stones

From glass houses

Into the metal railing

Of our infertile feeling
