People say that when you're in love you get butterflies in your stomach,

However, when I was with you I had seeds

At first, I didn't feel you at all

Small and unmoving I didn't know of your intentions

Over time your words poured over me like rain

Watering each and every doubt I had of you out of my mind

I began to see sprouts around my waist

New life blossoming into the idea of spring

Each day you grew more and more into my life I began to see blooms.

Now your flowers crowd my intestines and are rooted deep within my soul

You gave me a garden when I was expecting a bouquet
