Bloodied Nose

Screaming mothers

I perform my chores like a good, young lady

Scrubbing the table,

and dreaming my life away

Screams shrill, she SLAMS the door

R.A.G.E !!!

Disgorging wrath, an everyday drill

Pitiless stony tones

Her critical words slice the air

frigid eyes and a cold, hard stare

Her scarcity of tenderness clashes with,

my hunger for togetherness

sticky tears trickle down my face

Indifference emanates her space

She scorns my frown

Her maternal deluge of mania

black toxicity, a whirlwind of lethality

Unbalanced Unstable Unsteady

BLURRED LINES!!!

A shadow lunges forward

deranged lost look

snatches my hair and smashes my face

HARD!!!,

against the wooden table

Shocked Startled Stunned

Escaping upstairs, I lock myself away

My mirrored reflection

Sweet dear child

Philtrum-stained droplets

GLISTEN!!!

claret red, cherry crimson look of dread

Wounds that ooze, scars fuse

crammed with pain

Heart breaks

spirit slain

as my nose

Aches
