Blind

Was she blind? Or were you afraid.

Did you ever see her the way she saw you?

Were you ever taken with her the way she was struck by you?

Was it all in her head or were you too afraid to see her light shining from within, too afraid to blind her with your own light? she was blinded the moment she saw you, the moment you shined the bright white pearls enclosed within two borders of rose touched skin those moments you peered deeply into her brown pools of light.

Those feelings of a life not yet lived, did they scare you away from her? did they make you afraid of what may have come? did they give you feelings that felt as if they were not your own?

So many unanswered questions, so many thoughts of you she buried, so many moments of wonders she had, all for you. she couldn't see any danger so she dove deep into you wanting you to catch her, wanting you to dive with her, wanting you to be blinded by her the way she was blinded by you. but you were too afraid to dive with her, you were afraid of her light.

You were afraid to see her, maybe she was too bright for you, maybe you were too bright for her, maybe she wanted you to be the light in her dark, maybe...

Love isn't blind, love is a light, a light from within that cannot be extinguished, a light that can only be brightened by the shine of another, and if that shine is too bright for your light.

You weren't bright enough for her, and she wasn't dim enough for you.
