Blessed Curse

Cursed Blessings

I don't know what to tell you,

But if everything I touch turns to gold

It loses its value

...

Not from the excess of gold

That I choose to not hold

...

Just that in life as we live it

There's value intrinsic

...

So, I try not to make things worse

Leave things as they are

The King Midas Curse

Is a blessing in disguise

Cause it's a blessing to despise

Later on most people learn to revise

As they find the real prize

And see with clear eyes

Not colored or tinted with roses or green

The value in life, and what it can bring

...

So yeah, golden bars

From a silver tongue

I should make use of this gift while I'm young

...

I only have one life

Chances, to make them

Many goals with a purpose

To fulfill my soul

And find greatness

Bricks I lay for my future

As I make this

Beginning of a empire that's coming forth to suture

Who I wish to be with who I can be

If the only thing permanent is change

Then I am the same

Yet, as I, you, and us transcend time with our skills

Fulfilling the bill past 10000 hours

I will continue to grow and make use of my powers

...

I'm thankful to be blessed

As I continue the race, but nobody alive

Can ever truly outpace

Death

So I have to make sure

That I search for a cure

To try to live a life that's fulfilled

I don't know about you or anybody else, but in accepting that death can strike at any time, I've already written some form of my will
