1. Her feet carried her toward the gentle voices of home.

2. A breeze carried the scent of ash.

The bare trees rattled wearily as the woman who lived

Emerged,

Drawn across the field toward a dark silhouette.

3. The night began to stir,

Calling for a sinner.

# 4

4. She missed her,

Frightened of being alone in the night.

# 5

5. She was dreaming of death.

He was close.

And the moment she looked up,

He smiled.

6. His dreams missed him.

His past abandoned,

His childhood buried.

7. Trinkets jingle as he steps forward,

Wrong and wild.

The forest parting for the beast.

8. The rain traced down the man like a lover,

Both tired but eager.

9. Painting the sea,

He holds green in his eyes,

Land long since forgotten.

10. The shadows keep her in bed.

# 11

11. Their blood is heavy.

Their chest a wreck of red.

# 12

12. Father travelled,

But wasn't alone.

Many past souls travel with him

To eternity.
