Black is my colour,
Black means death to many,
But in my world,
It means closing the door on anger,
And;
Opening one to a new world,
Black means memories;
A time to remember loves past,
A time to remember the future is
yet to happen,
Black symbolises all of my loved ones in heaven,
It is the colour of my dark spirit,
Entwined in their light;
It lets me know they are still there,
Sharing our meaning,
Believing in life and death,
Allowing the spirit to roam,
Freeing them from the horrors they
may have faced,
Sharing their pain,
Allowing ourselves to represent their silent screams.
Black Roses also symbolise my past;
One that was happy,
And, one that was sad,
Where my closest friends shared their fascination,
With death, love, horror and life,
Through celebrating the Gothic lifestyle throughout time,
Bringing ghostly hauntings from past lives to life,
And living through someone else's joy and pain in
a time other than our own.
Red roses don't mean love to me;
They may mean love to somebody else,
But they don't represent me,
So please;
When you shower me with affection,
Remember, I like a different kind,
My symbol of love is black Roses,
So please bear this in mind.
