Black Lightening
As I look upon this path I took
I worry that my choice was wrong
Out of my control, these events my world shook
But how does it stop, how long?
I hear thunder in the distance
As I wish for my power to return
This angry roar above me, I sit to try and listen
This road is meant for you to learn
Then when will this lesson end?
When will I find a new path?
I’m ready to move on, but this road does not bend
Here comes another chilly draft
Even with mistakes, one must learn to laugh
No matter what, there is no point turning back
I step off the path and through the bushes, another way I craft
Because this storms lighting, makes it far less black
