A string to my violin that hasn’t played the same songs since the day you left.... broke.

It snapped right off the hinges..

Now it plays different.

But the sound brings me peace.

WHO KNEW A VIOLIN had dead weight??

Thank you for the new tune that it plays.

Because if I hadn’t been sad for months

I probably wouldn’t have played it so much.

It absorbed my tears.

The old ones that I hadn’t dealt with in years

and the new ones you made.

You or my sanity? What an easy ass trade!

I’m so thankful that you didn’t stay.
