Big Tears

I Didn't Mean to Make You Cry

By AmbroseVoxPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

It starts with a glimmer,

glinting,

catching light like ocean simmer,

twinkling,

as a gemstone’s shimmer,

in the corners of your eyes,

overflowing,

swirling feelings begin to rise,

descending,

big tears bearing azure skies,

it’s a tumultuous brew,

lingering,

born from a bitter rue,

blistering,

and the torn heart I see it true.

I have brought you pain,

my dismay I will not feign,

I will not let you bear this chain,

hold still and let me take your cheek,

it is not your lips I seek,

close your eyes, do not peek,

let me drink from you,

all these tears I drew,

I will bear this pain too.
