BIBLE OF LOVERS
“A love so sacred, every word is poetry.
In the beginning, there was a spark,
A light that shined through all the dark.
Two hearts met, like fate was planned,
A love too deep to understand.
Every conversation with her is poetry,
Every word, a melody so free.
Her laughter, soft as whispered prayer,
A love so pure, beyond compare.
Her voice, a hymn my soul recites,
A song that echoes through the nights.
With every glance, with every touch,
I fall again—I love too much.
Through every trial, every test,
We hold on tight, we do our best.
When storms arise and skies turn grey,
Love is the light that leads our way.
Pages turn, but love stays true,
A story old, yet always new.
Each chapter filled with joy and pain,
Yet still we’d read it all again.
This love of ours will never fade,
A holy vow the heavens made.
Etched in time, in stars above—
A Bible written out of love.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
