Between Takes

Where Stories and Souls Come Alive

The world quiets when the lights rise,

when the lens turns to me,

and I become someone else—

a dreamer, a fighter, a lover, a soul.

Lines like whispers, stories like waves,

they pull me under,

a tide I willingly drown in.

But it’s more than the script,

more than the stage or the set.

It’s the heartbeat behind the words,

the electric charge of connection,

the unspoken bond between actor and audience,

where humanity becomes one.

I’m a mother first,

building castles of love with my daughter,

our laughter spilling into the quiet woods.

The single thread of our lives weaves strong,

a tapestry stitched with bedtime stories

and whispered dreams.

A lover of the written word,

I watch stories unfurl like petals in bloom,

the simple magic of ink on paper

or lips shaping a tale into the air.

The forest sings it too—

its rustling leaves, its untamed poetry.

Yet acting calls,

a hunger too wild to tame.

It’s the spark of stepping into someone else’s shoes,

holding their heart for a moment

and giving it away to the world.

It’s not escape—

it’s immersion,

a plunge into what it means to be alive.

I am storyteller and seeker,

both lost and found in the art of becoming.

Nature keeps me grounded,

bare feet on the earth,

while the lights call me skyward.

It’s in that balance I thrive,

where simplicity meets creation,

where silence meets sound.

This life I’ve chosen is not easy.

But in the connection,

the raw, beautiful truth shared between souls,

I find a kind of love nothing else gives—

a love as fierce as motherhood,

as timeless as the stories we live to tell.
