A story of a ghost

Better Tomorrow

BY: H. M. Zike

I saw my daddy’s ghost last night

He said to me

“Baby girl don’t give up on your life.

The lords been listening to your prayers at night

Baby girl there’s an ending in sight.”

Here’s my favorite red guitar

Go on baby girl poor out your heart.

Poor out all your pain and sorrow

Play your way to a better tomorrow.

I said,

“Daddy please don’t leave me alone

You’ve been gone for too long”

He said,

“I’m sorry baby but I’ve got to go.

But I won’t leave you all alone.”

Here’s my favorite red guitar.

Go on baby girl poor out your heart.

Poor out all your pain and sorrow.

Play your way to a better tomorrow

Ever since my fingers touched that red guitar.

My fate’s been sealed

I’ve been playing out my heart

I’ve played though all the pain and sorrow.

I’ll keep on playing

Until I find a better tomorrow.

Here’s my favorite red guitar

Go on baby girl poor your heart out

Poor out all your pain and sorrow

Play your way to a better tomorrow.
