Best Friend

Do You Remember?

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 5 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

V-1

We were two girls growing up,

Living down the street from each other

Playing house and getting dressed up

In old clothes that belonged to our mothers

V-2

I can’t count the time we slept over

Talking about boys until late at night

Making big plans for our futures,

Nothing could ever dim the dreams in our minds.

CH:

Best friend, do you remember

All the good times we once shared?

How we said we’d be best friends forever

Best friend, do you remember?

V-3

High school graduation seemed to come so fast

And each of us took different roads

Our ten year reunion is now just around the corner

And we are both on our way back home

V-4

I’ve got two kids, and you’ve got three

And though we are living two thousand miles apart

Nothing and everything is still the same as it used to be

Best friends forever in soul and heart

Repeat CH
