A haikuplet on Compromise

Chaos strikes when compromise is not reached.

******************************************

Dueling trees lock limbs

Bending them in strained embrace

Branch and bark collide

******************************************

Morning sings gently

Branches bow, each one concedes--

Peace, in time, arrives.

Oof, those trees were throwing hands (well, branches) in the first haiku, and then—boom—zen mode activated. If trees can compromise, why can't people?

  • Oooo, morning sings gently, I especially loved that!
