"Bend don't break"

Choosing Each Other, Even in Pain

This hurts—

not just in pain,

but in love.

Longing for connection

denied by agenda,

comforting insecurities

while adding more.

Fighting for unity

while walking in opposite directions.

Attraction fades,

not from lack of want,

but from the ease with which

we let struggle in.

We lose grip

on who we promised to be,

too weak to fight for growth,

retreating into shells

we once swore to break.

“I love you” misses its mark—

now it sounds more like holding on.

Still,

we choose each other,

no matter how hard the grip becomes.

Together means

triumph through struggle,

perseverance through pain.
