Bella Rose

Dancing demon

By Robin EdwardsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Bella Rose

Bella Rose, Bella Rose

Her beauty unlike you have seen

skin like velvet and honey cream

lips warm with passion’s fire

Oh Bella Rose, you’re my one desire

Now her shadow dances wild

leaping like a frightened child

Bella Rose, I can’t bear to see

the way you now look at me

If I could hold her one last time

when I was hers

and she was mine

I’d softly whisper in her hear

the angels are waiting oh so near

So sleep my precious Bella Rose

But Bella Rose you wouldn’t go

You stared at me instead

and burned the memory of your pain

deep inside my head

When the thick forest grows quiet and dark

and the fire rages hot

Bella Rose writhes like a demon

escaping from a pot

My Bella Rose, she dances for me

every night in my darkest dreams

her eyes filled with pain, and sorrow

this will be all her tomorrows

and all my sleepless frights

Oh Bella Rose,

please don’t dance again tonight
