Find a railing, or a ledge, or a rope

Grab it with one hand, flip upside down

Watch the people walk on the ceiling for a moment

You’ll need a second person for the next step

Have person number two lean forward

Kiss you soft and sweet and on the mouth.

You’ll feel pterodactyls flapping in your stomach

This is the finest kiss that man has devised

You need to try it before you take your dirt nap

Before you die

Before you croak

Before you buy the farm

Go to 31 flavors, get 30 samples of cool mint, smooth vanilla, all their unique friends

buy a double scoop of whatever flavor you didn’t try

Scream what’s better left unsaid into the night

Not out of anger but just to feel

Forbidden words curling off your tongue and growing invincible and colossal in the sky

Dance shirtless in the freezing rain

Feel cold streaks of lightning under your skin

Try to comprehend your relative size compared to the population and to Pluto

You’ll fail,

but

in the moment of unrelenting smallness

You’ll know that none of this

And all of this

Makes perfect sense
