Before the Ink Dried
One Writer’s Lament—and Her Leap of Faith
By M. W. LarsenPublished 7 months ago • 1 min read

Oh the soulfull pain
The loss of peace
Creativity left to wither.
Oh the loss of passion
The loss of myself
Unwritten joy turned cold
Oh the numbness of mind
The rot of unuse
A spark left to die out.
Oh the loss of possibility
The losing of chance
A chance never attempted
Oh the dreams I have dreamed
The dream of a young lass
To have never been tried.
Oh the example not made
The dreams not encouraged
All for not attempting mine
Oh the pain I see
The life full of regret
When I didn’t even try
So here we are
Writing down the works
Trying for the dream I’ve always had.

In the quiet corners of the desert, where the wind whispers secrets, I spin tales of the extraordinary. Fantasy, supernatural wonder, and the magic of storytelling fuel my pen. — M.W. Larsen
