been thinking about hate and

and how,

even with so much on my plate

I still find time to hate

we all do,

to a lesser or greater extent

so I'm by no means virtuous

or a great example to follow

been thinking about how hate

hate and anger fit together,

when really

they have no place together

Hate is dangerous, toxic

the opposite of love,

while anger

anger can be

righteous diginfied,

healthy and justified.

when the motives...the

motives behind it are sound

when a solution...a

solution to it can be found

So quick we too often are to

to choose hate and anger

to our own detriment

been thinking about hate and

and anger, but really just

want to think about,

love and understanding

Really resonated with your thoughts, Paul. It's a powerful reminder that choosing love and understanding over hate can make a huge difference. Thanks for sharing!

πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘ great work Paul. β€œSo quick we too often are to to choose hate and anger to our own detriment”… sometimes it doesn’t feel like a choice - like a switch or reflex, right.. maybe if we fill our lives with so much good stuff, so that anger etc will find it harder to creep and we be chill as! πŸ˜ƒ Righteous indignation which your poem touches on is natural too I think. I guess awareness is key.

You are correct to distinguish between bitter anger and righteous anger. I used to tell my kids, "It's okay to be angry, but it's what you decide to do with that anger that you must control" Thank you for a glimpse into your head and thoughts, Paul! Made us think. Congratulations on Top Story, too!

Acute pain causes anger. Chronic pain makes it become depression. Hate just starts out as hate and never becomes anything else.

The battle rhythm is a tug-o-war and creates a tonal value that hurts my head and breaks my heart, in all the ways words can do at their best. You've given me a lot to consider. Congratulations on Top Story! πŸ₯³

This was so relatable and a little heavy for me as a reader... heave because I've quite literally been "sick" with rage lately and I think I needed to hear/ read this!! The repetitive language and way you explored these thoughts/ feelings brought me lots to contemplate and helped me work through something... Thank you for this Paul and congrats on Top Story!!
