I also love buffalo! This is just a fantastic haiku, D.J.! You have me wanting to go west!
Loved that last line! Such a strong ending.
Excellent. I love buffalo! 🦬 There is something so solid and stoical about them. Deftly done.
If that's what being a buffalo means, I gotta stop using it as an insult, lol. Loved your poem!
I would certainly like to be a buffalo. I fear I am more of an ermine at the moment, though... loved the thoughtful poem, D.J.! :)
Wow 😮 buffalo Haiku , so perfect 👌
Perfect symbolism. We need more buffalos.
I was told once that buffalo walk through storms to get through them quicker, while cows will go around them and thus take longer to weather the storm. 'Be the buffalo' has become a mantra for me on struggle days. Your haiku embodies this sentiment well!
My best friend calls me a buffalo because I’m a “big guy” lol. Great haiku!
Such perfect wording and a brilliant ending
😍Yes!! I love this haiku - the weight.. courage and “shaped like defiance!” Rounds it out perfectly #resist 😍
