Because I write poems I have to know all the writing forms
Because I'm a writer I have to know what every word means
Because I am a self-punishing author I have to be able to spell
I have to follow all the grammar rules
I have to read every poet that came before me
And enjoy reading
I do none of that
I don't live in books, I live in my head
Writing forms are cool, but sometimes my words don't follow the rules
I feel with my words
I paint with my words
I move with my words
I share my pain with my words
There is no one way to write
There is no formula to create
If there was the world will be populated with the same stories and poems, even songs
So boring to think the same
To feel the same
To write the same
To live the same
I am original
We should all be original
They say learn about the game before you play the game
Learn the rules so you can change the game
But the game is lame, so I make up my on game
Play it my way
Write it my way
Say what I want to say

As writers, we tend to have an obsession with words ;-)
Oh there you are! This is the real you. I remember the day I first read your work. I told you it was unique, something along those lines. This one I love very much, the way it flowed was amazing. The repetition brought their own rhythm. And there were three groupings of those, which helped to tie the poem together, uniquely. Outstanding work, L.I.E. I really do love this one. The words and lines are very relatable, but the way it was constructed took my breath away 👏🏽🙌🏽👌🏽♥️🤗
This felt very inspiring. Loved your poem!
