In the Petals of a Rose
A delicate rose blooms in my garden
Reflecting a notion so courageous
Velvety petals beauty awakens
American Beauty gently calms us

The sun and the wind caress its petals
Romantically flowing through the cool night
Comfort and beauty in my heart settles
Its vibrant color is a lovely sight

Intense fragrance rich dark deep pink beauty
Captures my senses with thrill and delight
The wonders of earth fall deep into me
Bringing a glamour an elegant sight

The rose stands strong among all the others
Fills me with love like that from my mother
