Beautiful Stranger

We've been through this before

Oh, dark, twisted Stranger

I won't let you through this door

In a sea of faces

Only our eyes did meet

Like a shadow you stalked

You were never so discreet

I snatched out a cigarette

I let it all in

I knew you were coming

I knew this, but not when

Suddenly my eyes fell upon a dark silhouette,

Grinning and tapping at my door

You flooded my sanity

And let my true nature restore

A blur of scattered memories

A blur of scattered thoughts

A blur of hate, of obsession, of longing

Opened up those locks

I let it in, all that smoke

The life that is my gray

I let that stubborn, insane presence

Muddle up my day

And here we stand

Hands in sync

Whispers as we now lay

I let you in, oh terrible stranger

I let you in to stay

Clawing, sinking, breathing

Cold lingering

At the edge of your skin

Oh, Beautiful, not so Stranger

I will not let you win
