Beach Days

Time to spend time by the ocean

By Seema PatelPublished 6 months ago 1 min read
@Seema

It's peak of summer,

beach days are here

time to head to the ocean,

fetch salty water

in tiny buckets,

and dig the wet sand,

to build sandcastles,

and to decorate with

feathers, and pebbles,

seaweeds, and shells.

To marvel at urchins,

crabs, and sea stars,

to be chased by the waves

and get splashed.

@Seema

To sit under the umbrella,

wearing broad-brimmed hats,

and munch on puffed rice,

peanuts, watermelon,

refreshing drink with ice.

To listen to the gulls,

see pelicans, and plovers,

the sailboats, and surfers,

the lion sea lion,

swimming near the shore

and wait for the sun

to set in fiery red,

beach time is here.
