Be That Girl…

Who is thrilled by nature

Be the girl,

who is spellbound by..

an oriole on an agave bloom,

a hummingbird on a pine top,

a honeybee on an encelia.

By foggy, surreal mornings.

By the crackling log in a fireplace.

By the sepia sunset,

a distant island in the ocean,

the silhouette of lanky palms.

By distant blue hills

and autumnal oaks.

You will never be sad —

not for long.

For in the next glance,

nature has

its magic spectacles

to cheer you.

Nature is beautiful to look at and peaceful…I am not an outside girly either…I hate bugs and grass on occasions. But I love how you describe it in your poem.

  • I'm not a nature or outdoor person so I couldn't relate to this. But as always, I loved your photo and poem

I always feel happiest when I'm in nature.
