Be Somebody!

Make something of myself.

By Mitak AhmedPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

I needed love and care,

But something told me I needed somebody there,

I need to be a somebody on top,

Need to shine until my heart stops,

Listen to what I'm about to say,

Listen carefully to the words that I'll portray,

I can talk about money, cars, girls or

Whatever people say these days,

But I rather talk about real pain,

Rather talk about real stuff,

Rather talk about real tears,

Sometimes I hate myself,

Sometimes I love myself,

I breathe in all the pain hoping

That I'll harm myself,

And then eventually kill myself,

Man I've been here couple times,

And I've heard all the fake promises and lies,

Just to get one message across,

I have to put these words in a rhyme,

It's like no matter what I say,

These people don't understand,

You don't see the struggle around you,

Only care about yourself,

That's the thing I can't stand,

In this pale world I have to be the colour,

The world is my canvas,

I'm the paint brush,

That's going to fill it with colour,

I'm going to paint, paint, and paint until the world changes,

Because I'm going to change the world,

No more pain, no more living in cages,

That's me, that's what I'm saying,

These are emotions that are put into words,

Written on the page,

And made it into a verse,

Feel like my whole life is backwards,

There are no second chances,

This is it; this is where I start,

The only respect you get is when there is roses on your grave,

It feels like I died,

I'm just getting by day by day,

So tell me why they say no racism,

But we' re still separated by race,

This is where you'll hear my story,

This is where you'll know about my life,

This is where you'll know about my pain, my tears, my cries.
