Be Self-Reliant

Strength and pride through self-reliance

By Rohitha LankaPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

"Learn to rely on yourself"

Learn to rely on yourself

Even if no one encourages you

When you are young, rely on your parents, it is called "being raised"

When you grow up, you still rely on your parents, it is called "an islander."

Being self-reliant is called "being an adult."

Being self-reliant is why you can smile with pride

Not much wealth, know how to find it

No house, no car, know how to build it

Tired, discouraged, know how to forget

Suffering, crying, and knowing how to comfort yourself

Others can only give you... seedlings

Plant it yourself, then you will receive shade

When in need, don't blame others for not supporting you

In times of crisis, don't be resentful that others don't support you

If you are strong, the problems you encounter are your "motivation."

If you are brave, the crises you encounter are your "opportunities"

Holding on to the ego may lead you astray

Holding on to others may cause you to lose your sense of self

Keep persevering...

Be self-reliant .. Everything is yours

Be strong...

Be self-reliant

Even.. without the applause of the people

But.. you are proud

Being self-reliant is.. ''Real person''..
