Be(Longing)

I am at peace

I feel safe

I feel warm

I feel secure

I know that I can be

just exist, and breathe for just a moment

that no matter what I say, you will be here

and I breathe it all in.

I allow myself a moment of bliss,

a fraction of possibility,

but that is all it is.

A moment of fantasy,

after all I've always been good at make beleive

and what's more fantastical then a feeling of complete peace.

My eyes flutter open, and I lose everything.

In an instant I am alone again,

In an instant the world is cold,

And all I feel is the harsh ache of longing.
