Be

From The Mystic Compass Poems

By Raissa DasselPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

You went left and I went right. Yesterdays were sketched carefully by Him and yet they must be permanently left behind. For good.

He pencils in a new map for you. Embrace it. Roll it up, melt the cold wax and stamp your seal from right to left this time.

Break the seal and dance with your dreams. Hope endlessly.

Walk to the gas station of never-ending grace and fill up. Be whole and never forget.

Settle it once and forever. Just be. He will arrive with a soundless smile. For you.

When He comes, please extend your aching arms to Him. Let yourself be reached and gladdened. Regret has no oxygen in this new breathing space. Be.

About the Creator

Raissa Dassel

I have been a poet since my childhood. It peaked during my misunderstood teens and now again in my 50th year of life. It would be an honor to have people respond to my thoughts. I played the piano as a child, too. It is a beautiful life.
