Be Back in 5

It’s okay to not be okay.

By Jaye LongPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

Sitting at a red light,

Absent from reality;

I started to question,

The feelings inside of me.

The music played,

I gripped the wheel;

Then began to wonder,

Just how I feel.

With a mind so full,

I could drown in it;

But a heart so bare,

Like an empty pit.

Could it be possible,

That I’m finally there;

Did I finally hit the point,

Where I no longer care.

Am I giving in,

To this life of solitude;

With a heart stripped of love,

It’s basically in the nude.

Like lungs without air,

You’re unable to breathe;

A heart without love,

Is unable to dream.

About the Creator

Jaye Long

I’m always yearning to create. The imagination is the most beautiful tool we could have been given. What’s that rule.... “Use it or lose it”? That’s what they were talking about, right? (; Dare to dream. Love to live. Strive to explore.
